“I Am a Canadian…”

Today we attended the Canadian citizenship ceremony for a dear and precious young woman who has become like a daughter to us. The presiding judge, His Honour Normand Vachon, cited the quotation in the link above. I found it moving and inspiring, and couldn’t resist posting it today.

I am Dutch by birth, American by default, and Canadian by choice. Yet I rejoice with Paul of Tarsus that “…our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.”   ~ Phi 3.20,21
